Help Our Youths is part of LMCC a non profit organisation that actively promotes the rights, best interests of and best practice with young people in need or at risk. The young people that we deal with include those from disadvantaged areas, those who have had poor educational experiences, young people at risk of committing crime, misusing of drugs and alcohol, unsafe sexual behaviour or other harmful activities, or of being harmed themselves.
We work closely with SOS Children is the world's largest orphan and abandoned children's charity. Child sponsors and donors worldwide provide a new family and home for more than 70,000 children in 473 unique Children's Villages in 123 countries. HelpOurYouths are supporting the need to help a million children and their families through SOS community outreach programmes.
The strategic goal for the next eight years is to help a million child sponsors give a million children a family life. Of these, one hundred thousand will be given a new family and home in an SOS Children's Village and nine hundred thousand, who might otherwise be street children, will be able to grow up within their own (extended) family with our support.
With your sponsorship we can help children whose parents are not there for them. They may be AIDS orphans, street children, child soldiers or children orphaned by war, poverty or natural disasters. We give these children a mother and a family in a home within an SOS Children's Village. Donations pay to build the Villages and run them until child sponsors cover the running costs. Where family life is at risk (for example where parents in Africa have AIDS), we run programmes to help strengthen them and keep them together
We are looking for donors to do sponsored events (or just donate) to help raise money for houses in a village . Each house will have 10 orphans and one 'mum' who is a widow or an under-privileged lady. In the village there is a school and recreational area. There will be progress reports on each child from our particular sponsored house and you will be able to receive these reports via your e-mail. |
